A holistic facial achieves balance and a sense of well-being by using various techniques and natural products.
Using techniques rather than complex and very expensive products, fantastic results can be achieved.
The routine starts with a thorough cleanse of the face and neck.
Exfoliants will be gently massaged into the skin, avoiding eyes and sensitive areas. Your skin will then be steamed using hot towels to remove blockages and soften the pores to remove any surface debris which may inhibit the penetration of products that are being used.
A facial massage will then follow using nourishing creams – the massage will last between 10 and 15 minutes.
Facial massage:
· increases blood circulation and lymphatic drainage to skin and muscles · increases cellular activity · improves texture of skin · stimulates removal of toxins and waste products from tissues · relieves tension
Lymphatic massage and acupressure massage
· light, slow movements draining towards the nearest lymph nodes · slow and precise pressure point treatment using generalised pressure points
A face mask will be applied with a brush to facilitate easy application and an even coverage.
Whilst the mask is working its magic you will receive a relaxing arm, hand, shoulder and neck massage promoting a feeling of general wellbeing.
Moisturising ends this deeply relaxing therapy and your focus will be gently brought back into the room.
If your skin is prone to spots and blemishes, a few additional spots may be noticed following treatment but these will tend to come and go much quicker than normal.
